🌺 The Flowers
I Choose 🌸
🌹 Why I Choose The Flowers I Choose 🪷
🌺 I walk the same wide Fenland paths that the flowers themselves have known.
Under these endless skies, in the rich, dark soil of the Fens, the blooms I choose grow the way nature intended — slowly, honestly, and full of quiet character. They bend in the breeze, drink the same rain that falls on my studio roof, and carry the golden light of our landscape in every petal.
That is why I choose them.
I work only with small-scale, local growers here in the Fens and West Norfolk — people who grow flowers the old-fashioned way, in open fields, without the chemicals or forced perfection that so many supermarket blooms endure.
These are not mass-produced stems grown under artificial lights and flown halfway around the world. They are field-grown, sun-kissed, and naturally strong.
You can see the difference the moment you hold one:
Real character — stems that curve gently, petals with soft imperfections, leaves that tell the story of wind and weather.
Natural strength — they arrive full of life because they were picked at their absolute peak, often the same morning or the day before.
Longer-lasting beauty — with proper care, these blooms reward you with 7–10 days (sometimes more) of scent, colour and joy.
Compare that to the straight, thin, uniform flowers you often find in supermarkets. Those stems are bred for shelf life and uniformity rather than soul.
They’re rushed, tightly packed, and given barely enough water before they reach you — which is why they so often wilt within a few days.
It’s not anyone’s fault; it’s simply the reality of high-volume, long-distance retail. I could never offer those flowers with a clear heart.
Instead, I choose the growers who share my deep respect for the land. People who farm regeneratively or with organic principles, who leave space for wildlife, and who understand that the most beautiful blooms come from healthy soil and patient hands. By working directly with them, I can bring you flowers that are truly of this place — honest, seasonal, and full of the wild spirit of the Fens.
Every bouquet I create begins with their careful harvest and ends with my own hands arranging them with love. No middlemen, no unnecessary miles, no compromise on quality or care. These are not just flowers.
They are little pieces of our landscape, grown with integrity, chosen with intention, and offered to you with the same warmth I feel when I walk those open fields. If a bloom speaks to you, it’s because it was grown with heart — and I can’t wait to bring it home to you.
With love from the Fens,
Robyn 🌻
